This is an opportunity for boys and girls taking the High School Placement Test (HSPT) on
November 10, 2023, required for admission into the Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese
of Newark, to prepare for the exam. The course provides an intensive review of mathematics,
reading, language arts skills, instruction in quantitative and verbal reasoning, and general test
taking strategies.

The course will be taught by Mr. Joseph Kievit, a faculty member at St. Joseph Regional High
School. Mr. Kievit teaches the SAT and ACT prep courses at SJR and has over twenty years of
experience in preparing middle school and high school students for standardized tests in
mathematics, reading, and language arts. This is the eighth year that he has offered the HSPT /
COOP course. (Mr. Kievit was previously a Center Director with Kaplan Test Prep and
Admissions).

The fee for the program is $225 per student and covers all course materials.
The registration deadline is Wednesday, October 25, 2023
