Exploration / HSPT Camp
Green Knight Exploration and HSPT Prep Camp
Dates: TBD August 2024 (weekdays)
The Green Knight Exploration and HSPT Prep camp is an opportunity for rising 8th graders to explore the many offerings of St. Joseph Regional while preparing for the upcoming HSPT exam. All in a fun and engaging environment.
Campers will have the chance to interact with SJR teachers, coaches and staff to gain a hands-on introduction to life as a Green Knight. In addition to HSPT preparation, rising 8th grade boys will enjoy cool science labs, engineering projects, improv sessions, coding, cooking, and more! Camp culminates in a group rafting trip along the Delaware River.
- Camp will run 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Mon-Fri, Mon-Thu (Rafting day will run 8:00am-5:00 pm)
- Lunch is included daily

The HSPT course will be taught by Mr. Joseph Kievit, a faculty member at St. Joseph Regional High School. Mr. Kievit teaches the SAT and ACT prep courses at SJR and has over 2 decades of experience in preparing middle school and high school students for standardized tests in mathematics, reading, and language arts. This will mark the 9th consecutive year Mr. Kievit teaches the HSPT prep course.

Theater Camp
Broadway Theater Workshops Summer Theater Camps (Register and Pay)
Senior Theater Camp: July 8 - 19, 2024, 9am - 4pm
The camp that started it all! For students in grades 5-12, grouped by age/experience. In this two-week camp, workshops are conducted in acting, dancing (for both dancers and non-dancers), speech and diction, improvisation, auditioning, stage combat, individual voice lessons and more. No auditions are necessary to attend this camp. The program concludes with our famous "Musical Revue" performance for family and friends on the Inserra Theater main stage on the second Thursday evening. (Cost $875)
Junior Theater Camp: July 29 - August 2, 2024, 9am - 3pm
For our youngest performers! For students in grades 2-5, this weeklong camp provides a comprehensive introduction to the key theatrical disciplines in a nurturing and low-stakes environment. Students will participate in all the activities described in the Senior Theater Camp program with students their own age. Rising 5th graders have the option of selecting Junior or Senior theater camp, depending on their prior experience and comfort level. This one week program ends with a final day demonstration in the afternoon for friends and family. (Cost $400)
Performance Theater Camp: July 29 - August 11, 2024, 4pm - 9pm
Put on a full production in two weeks! For students in grades 7-12, this two week intensive production experience teaches all elements of performing in a musical with blocking, acting instruction, teaching of songs and dance - all leading to 4 full scale performances (roles will be double cast). Auditions are held in early June or mid July (in-person or virtual), and actors are expected to come to the first rehearsal off-book. Note: Auditions are to determine cast assignments; ALL REGISTERED STUDENTS WILL BE INTEGRATED INTO THE PRODUCTION. While the rehearsals are Monday - Friday, performances will be held on Friday, August 9th, Saturday, August 10th, and Sunday, August, 11th, 2024. (Cost $800)
BTW Bonus Week: July 22 - 26, 2024, 9am - 3pm
Intended for our STC and PTC campers who are seeking additional training in technique, this week-long camp will feature workshops in dialects, scene-study, voice and body work, Shakespeare, stage combat, sight reading, music theory, and other disciplines, with professional instructors and Broadway guest artists. For STC campers who finish their Revue performance and are seeking additional training, or for PTC performers who are looking to brush up on technique in the week prior to the start of rehearls, or for those just looking for a single-week theater technique camp. For students in grades 5-12. This offering is NEW in 2024! (Cost $550)
