Description
In conjunction with the President and the Director of Advancement and Marketing, the Director of the SJR Fund and Leadership Giving will be responsible for advancing, in a variety of ways, the overall fundraising program of the school including the following:

1. Directing the SJR Fund Annual and Day of Giving
a. Outreach to various constituent groups via mail, email and phone
b. Development of publicity campaigns to promote the SJR Fund and Day of Giving (letters of appeal, brochures, events, etc.)
2. Investigating grant opportunities and development of the school’s relationship with the Montvale corporate community
3. Directing the stewardship of existing benefactors and sharing news about scholarship recipients, student achievement and the success of programs they have supported
4. Assisting with the organization and implementation of all fundraising activities/events during the school year
5. Developing new major gift prospects
6. Assisting with the planning and implementation of SJR’s planned Capital Campaign
a. Working with professional counsel to
i. Complete wealth screenings
ii. Create campaign case statement and supporting documents
iii. Schedule appointments with prospective donors
iv. Solicit gifts
7. Maintaining records and initiating follow-up for outstanding multi-year pledges
8. Attending monthly meetings of the Board of Consultants and its committees, as needed, to report on the progress of the annual fundraising program.
