On Saturday, May 1, Saint Joseph Regional will host "Cars on Campus," welcoming a variety of sports, high-performance and classic cars between 11:00-3:00 p.m.
The event is the result of the collaborative efforts of Cooper Kurtz '23 and John Connolly '11.
Kurtz brought the idea of a charitable car show on campus as a way to bring alumni and families to campus in a fun and Covid-safe outdoor environment - all for a good cause.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Knights 4 Knights Fund, to assist Green Knights with outstanding financial need, and the Hopes & Heroes Children's Cancer Foundation. Guests will be able to purchase raffle tickets for rides in exotic cars during the event to support the cause.
Connolly, the general manager of GS Motor Club, helped connect the dots between his alma mater and the exotic car community. GS Motor Club is a nationwide portal designed to centralize and localize the car scene from its HQ in Fairfield, NJ.
In addition to GS Motor Club, members of Cars & Caffe as well as PCNY are expected to be in attendance.
There will be a designated area for SJR community members including alumni and current students.
No RSVP is necessary, lots will be open between 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
GS Motor Club Black Car members are invited to arrive at 10:00 a.m.
