SJR Announces New Hires

Saint Joseph Regional High School is pleased to welcome twelve new members to the faculty and staff for the 2022-2023 school year.

"We are thrilled to welcome such a talented and diverse group of educators to our faculty, and look forward to them making an immediate impact on the quality of our offerings," said Principal Michael Bruno '05.

The Green Knights welcome back two alumni to the staff - Brian Maye '93 and JR Inman '05 join the faculty, teaching mathematics and physical education, respectively.

Maye returns to campus after spending 20 years as a math teacher and department chair, most recently at Cardinal Hayes High School. He earned a B.S. in marketing from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College and holds dual master's degrees in administrative studies and adolescent education from Boston College as well.

Inman earned his B.A. in communications with a concentration in mass media from Rutgers University. An SJR Athletic Hall of Famer and the Green Knights all-time leading scorer in basketball, Inman has been a coach and mentor in the Greater NYC area since retirement from professional basketball.

On the new additions, Bruno said, "I am excited to welcome such an energetic group to join our already stellar faculty.  They will all work towards advancing our mission to develop students to think, lead, and serve."

More New Faces
Richard Todd Adams (Communication Arts) has a master's degree in music from The Juliard School, focusing on Voice Performance. He received a B.M. from Trinity University in San Antonio. Adams has been the choral director at SJR for several years and is a Broadway veteran, having starred on stage in Les Miserables, Cats, The Phantom of the Opera and more.
Wilson DeDios (Spanish/Physical Education) has a B.S. in movement science from William Paterson University. He has served as a physical education teacher and bilingual support teacher in the Paterson public school system. 
Elizabeth Evans (English) earned her B.A. in English from Fordham University. She has spent the past 17 years at Mary Help of Christians Academy as an English teacher and Director of Alumnae Relations.
James Fink (Social Studies) holds a B.S. in English and history from Franklin & Marshall College and an M.A. in educational leadership from Long Island University. He boasts more than 30 years of teaching experience.
Eilish Lally (Social Studies) has a B.A. in history, geography and anthropology from Maynooth University in County Kildare, Ireland and has a post-grad degree in Adult & Community Education.
Joseph Mazzarella (Italian/Spanish) has his B.A. from Montclair State University in Italian and Spanish and his M.A. from Rutgers University in Italian literature. He also completed an undergraduate and graduate program at the University of Siena and the University of Urbino, both in Italy.  Finally, he earned his M.A. in administration, supervision, and curriculum development from New Jersey City University.
Kim McDermott P '20 (Admissions Coordinator) earned her B.S. in business marketing and special event programming from Montclair State University. She has served as a marketing manager, small business owner, and merchandiser for the past 25 years. Her son, Andrew, graduated from SJR in 2020.
Danielle Nathan (Science) earned her B.A. in psychology, with a minor in early childhood education and her M.A. in health education and promotion from Lehman College.
Katrina Redmond (Guidance Administrator) earned her B.A. in Communication Arts from Maymount Manhattan College.  She has worked at Dominican University serving in a number of roles including Director of Student Activities and Business Development Manager.
Bobby Risetto (Student Assistance Counselor) earned his B.A. in liberal studies from William Paterson University and his M.A. in school counseling from Seton Hall University.
