The Class of 1969 is nearing its ambitious goal of $500,000 to fund the construction of a new Student Community Center at SJR. The Center will be used to welcome incoming students, allow current students to build friendship networks and alumni to gather.
The Class Giving Team led by Co-Chairmen Bob Auray and Warren Clark has been relentlessly working to insure we achieve that goal. As of October 1, pledges of various levels from 20 classmates exceed $475,000, with more than $280,000 cash received already.
In addition, an anonymous classmate has offered to match up to the next $50,000 of “topping” gifts we receive by the end of this year. You will still be able to make a pledge over 5 years if you find that helpful. This means that any amount you pledge will be matched dollar for dollar.
EVERYONE who either gives or has already given will be named on a plaque installed in the new Class of 1969 Community Center.
