Teaching philosophy:

Since I began teaching, my philosophy has always been to put emphasis on cross-curricular projects and activities. Arts Education is a big part of 21st century thinking.  It can provide information about where we came from and how that has shaped our current place in the world. I am a firm believer that art is a way to engaging students and allowing them to make connections across all subject areas. It builds connections that reinforce related concepts and it provides a better understanding and allows students a glance behind the scenes of historical and cultural events.

When I am not at SJR you will find me:

Puttering around my house, baking, knitting or something else creative.
