Ways to Give

Make your one-time gift to the SJR Fund online here. The SJR Fund is the school's program for unrestricted annual giving. It is the vehicle by which alumni, parents, parents of alumni, grandparents, faculty, staff, and friends provide financial support to help keep SJR strong. Contributions to the Fund represent real savings for our young men and their families.

Become a monthly donor by registering for our SJR12 program in support of The SJR Fund. SJR12 donors make their support throughout the year on a monthly (or quarterly) basis via an automated deduction of $8.33 or more, made on a credit card. With a one-time setup, your gift will automatically be charged to your credit card each month.

Many corporations have matching gifts programs that can double or even triple the size of your gift. Please check with your (or your spouse's) human resources department to see if your gift is eligible for a match. Normally, the employee submits initial paperwork or completes an online form; the school will handle the rest of the process, and you will be notified when we receive your matching gift.

St. Joseph Regional High School welcomes gifts of appreciated stocks, bonds, and mutual funds as a great way to support the school. Not only will your contribution entitle you to an income tax charitable deduction, but you may also avoid capital gains taxes. These gifts are processed through the Archdiocese of Newark. If you are older than 70 1/2, you can donate up to $100,000 from your IRA to a charity tax-free. Donors do not receive an income tax charitable deduction; however, this provision allows donors to transfer money from their IRAs without having to recognize the transfer as taxable income. Please consult your tax advisor for information about your specific situation.

Planned gifts are a wonderful way to ensure a legacy for future Green Knights. If including the school in your will, please include both the full name and address of the institution (St. Joseph Regional High School, 40 Chestnut Ridge Road, Montvale NJ 07645), to avoid confusion with the many other nonprofits and schools with similar names. There are several options for planned gifts, including annuities, charitable trusts, and gifts of life insurance, that may provide significant tax advantages to you and/or your beneficiaries. Making a gift in memory is a wonderful way to remember a loved one while supporting the young men of SJR. Simply use the SJR Form page and indicate whom your gift is in memory of using the "Comments/Gift Designation" field.

Donations of goods and services can benefit the St. Joseph Regional High School community. Please contact the school before making a gift-in-kind to ensure that the gift can be utilized.
