December saw SJR at its finest, giving back to the community in many different ways. Led by Director of Campus Ministry Jeannie Podest, SJR participated in various collection drives and service opportunities.
A few highlights:
- 10 Green Knights volunteered at the SJR Craft Show
- 25 Green Knights made Christmas cards and organized collected toys after school
- On Dec. 15, hundreds of toys and blankets were delivered to Mercy House
- Also on Dec. 15, Green Knights delivered baby formula and diapers to Rafael's Lifehouse in Elizabeth
- On Dec. 19, 8 Green Knights visited Mercy House to distribute toys
- On Dec. 20, the SJR band and chorus visited Thrive for Senior Living, Sunrise Assisted Living and KinderCare to sing Christmas carols to our neighbors
- Throughout December, Dylan Gutowski '25 sold 3D printed Christmas ornaments with proceeds benefitting Hearts of Joy
