Coop Preparation Course

August 22 – August 31

All sessions run from 9:00 am – 11:15 am (except on August 26 when a practice test will be administered from 9:00 am-noon)

This is an opportunity for students taking the Cooperative Admission Examination, required for entrance into the Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese of Newark, to prepare for the exam.  The course provides an intensive review of mathematics, reading, language arts skills, instruction in quantitative and verbal reasoning, sequences, analogies, and general test taking strategies. In addition, a full length practice test will be administered at the midpoint of the course.  The practice test will be scored and feedback will be provided to each individual student.

The course will be taught by Mr. Joseph Kievit, a faculty member at St. Joseph Regional High School.  Mr. Kievit teaches the SAT and ACT prep courses at SJR and has over fourteen years experience in preparing middle school and high school students for standardized tests in mathematics, reading, and language arts.  (He was previously a Center Director with Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions).

  • The fee for the program is $350 per student and covers all course materials.
  • Enrollment is limited to the first 20 students that register.
  • The registration deadline is Friday, August 5, 2016.
