If you're looking for the definition of a student-athlete in the senior class, James Morrison '21 would fit the bill.
The Midland Park native is among the top students in his class, earning Principal's List status nine times in hs academic career including the first marking period this year.
He has been the starting tight end for the Green Knights football team, helping to open up lanes for the SJR ground attack.
In the winter, Morrison turns in his pads for gym shorts as he helped the Green Knights to a Bergen County Jamboree title on the basketball court in 2020.
In addition, Morrison is the president of the Student Council and a Knight Ambassador as well as member of the National Honor Society and the SJR UNICO chapter.
In his spare time (and prior to the pandemic), Morrison volunteered out with the kids at Camp Acorn in Allendale. " I helped set up their daily afternoon activities, like baking or coloring and things like that."
After SJR, Morrison has his options open, exploring Amherst, Bryant, Dartmouth, Fordham and Rice as his college options.
