Lawrenceville-The Green Knights’ first game of the week came against Lawrenceville. This out-of-division game ended in a 3-3 tie. The three goals came from Logan Hughes ‘25, Shane Tobin ‘25, and Carmine Coiro ‘24. Now on the defensive end, goaltenders Joseph Monte ‘23 and Gabe Florio ‘26 split time to prepare for the upcoming league games. Monte ended with 9 saves on 10 shots and Florio ended with 7 saves on 9 shots.
Rest of the Week-The Green Knights only played one game this week due to the schedule. SJR began to prepare for their upcoming state schedule.
Player Spotlight-The Player of the Week for this week goes to Junior Forward Carmine Coiro. Carmine has stepped up into a major role on this young Green Knights team as a member of the first line. He scored in SJR’s tie with Lawrenceville on Monday (1/29).
