Alex Nicastro's grades have been steadily on the rise since his first marking period at SJR. As a senior, he eclipsed the 100 GPA mark for the second marking period, earning Principal's List status for the fifth time.
The Elmwood Park native is taking electives in AP Psychology, Sports & Literature and Economics.He will continue his studies at Quinnipiac University, where he plans to major in TV, Film & Media Arts.
Nicastro is a sports fan (the Rangers in particular) and chose Quinnipiac in part because of the school's relationship with ESPN in Bristol, CT.
"I definitely want to get behind-the-scenes, behind the camera and get into the world of TV production," explained Nicastro.
A lifelong Catholic school student, Nicastro attended St. Anne's in Fair Lawn and enjoys video games and traveling to the Jersey Shore/Toms River in the summers.
