Green Knights Ready for Donovan Catholic

With both #5 Donovan Catholic and #2 St. Joe's coming off wins and impressive starts to their seasons the two team will face each other in a top 5 matchup on Saturday.

Last year the Green Knights stole the show against Donovan Catholic at MetLife Stadium in a 41-13 victory.

In the first 5 weeks of the season the 4-1 Green Knights have been led by their high powering offense and their stubborn defense. The star on this offense has been quarterback Patrick Grusser who has the 4th most total yards in the State with 1,270 yards. The rushing game has also been a shining light on the field with a total of 1,186 rushing yards and 19 rushing touchdowns. Seniors Yasin Willis and Terrance Sumter have been contributing the most. On defense, the team has turned the ball over 7 times, bringing in 148 tackles, all while racking up 10 sacks.

Donovan Catholic comes in the game on an impressive 4-0 start to the season. The Griffins enter the game averaging just 9 points allowed per game and scoring an average of 29.5 points per game. The Griffins offense is led by a sneaky good rushing game, with 893 total yards rushing.

Both teams will look to stay hot when they take the field on September 30th at 1pm at Dinallo Stadium in Montvale, New Jersey.
