SJR Wellness Center Set to Open

The new SJR Wellness Center will officially open on Monday February 5th with a formal blessing.

The new space on campus will give students a place to talk with SJR Wellness counselor Bobby Rissetto, relax, unwind and decompress. The initiative to construct the Wellness Center was led by SJR junior Aidan Huvane who spearheaded the effort though his Eagle Scout project. Through the generosity of the SJR community, creative talent of Mrs. Colleen Schuh (P '22) and watchful eye of Mrs. DiFiore, the idea of a Wellness Center has come to fruition.

Aidan Huvane recently wrote a letter to the SJR community expressing his gratitude for the support during this project.

Thank you from Aidan Huvane '25

First and foremost I want to thank everybody for the continuous support of my Eagle Scout project. This Eagle Scout project has been in the works since this past summer and it definitely has been a journey. I want to start by thanking Mr. Fazio for entrusting me with  this project and supporting the ideas throughout the whole process.

I want to thank Mr.Checke for insuring everything went smoothly with the room and to Mr. Bruno for his help as well. I also want to especially thank Mrs. DiFiore, Mr. Rissetto and Mrs. Schuh for their  help in making this once idea become reality and taking time out of their days to assist  me and making sure I reach my goal-  it truly means a lot. Lastly, I want to give a huge thank you to my SJR family for all the generous donations and continuous help with making this room possible because I know I couldn’t have done it without you all.
