On Wed, Dec. 19, eight Green Knights committed to continuing their academic and athletic careers at the NCAA level on the first day of the early signing period for football. The group enjoyed breakfast and handled questions from the media during the photo session before heading to class for the day.
Football coach Augie Hoffmann saw a trio of Green Knights commit to BCS programs across the country including: James Ciarlo (Army West Point), Howard Cross (Notre Dame) and Connor Grieco (Boston College). Gavin Sharkey (Harvard) led a quartet of students headed to FCS schools including: Bart Francois (William & Mary), Angelo Guglielmello (Stony Brook) and Patrick McMurtrie (Holy Cross).
In addition, coach Dale Weingarten was on hand as Kevin Jaffee - a multi-sport student-athlete - signed with the University of Hartford lacrosse program.
